One of the most popular destinations for visitors to the UK to visit is Cornwall. Certainly this is a county that has a number of different activities that you can enjoy throughout the year no matter what they weather may be like.

Of course one of the main reasons that people choose to visit this part of the UK is that it has some really superb beaches. Plus having an Atlantic Ocean aspect this is a superb place to come for those want to go surfing. In fact every year the resort of Newquay comes alive to thousands of surfers visiting including those who are competitors in one of the national or international rounds of surfing competitions.

When it comes to visiting Cornwall there are attractions to be seen and things to do that will suit all age groups. Below we take a look at some of the places that one should be considering visiting when coming to this part of the UK with small children.

Attraction 1 – Lands End

This is considered to be the furthest point in England and many times there have been people who have done sponsored events that results in them riding, walking or running from this part of England to John O’Groats in Scotland. When you visit this particular part of Cornwall there is a complex situated on it that tells you not only about the history of this part of the county but on the county as a whole. So you get a real feel for what life has been like in this part of England since it has been inhabited.

Attraction 2 – Crealy Adventure Park

Here you have the opportunity to meet a breed of horses that were once a common sight throughout the UK before the industrial revolution took hold. Shire horses are considered to be the gentle giants of the equine world and you have the opportunity to get up close and personal with not just the adults but any foals. Also within this attraction there is a place that children can actually get up close and personal with much smaller animals including goats, ferrets, rabbits and guinea pigs.

Also this park is located in 100 acres of beautiful Cornish countryside and there are many trails one can explore that surround the lakes within it. Whilst at this park also take the Safari Train that allows you to tour the park in a more relaxed way and includes a visit to the Silver Mine Lake.

Plus if you happen to have any older children with you then allow them to take in Swampy’s Swampbusters Eco Adventure. This will allow them to let of a little excess energy as there are aerial walkways, astro slides, cable walks and sheer drop slides that they can attempt. Also in this part of the park you will find rides that will further get them excited such as the Thunder Falls Log Flue, Viking Warrior Pirate Ship or the Raging Rivers Water Coasters.
