England is made up of a number of different counties and each offer a wide variety of attractions and places for people to visit. One of these counties that is worth spending time exploring is Dorset. Situated on the South West coast of England this is county where you can find some of the most beautiful countryside and beaches.
Such spots you may want to consider visiting during your time in this part of England including Lulworth Cove, Chesil Beach, Durdle Door and the hill forts of Hod Hill and Maiden Castle. 1. Adventure Wonderland – This is a great place for you to take the kids so that they can expend a bit more of the energy that they have. This although small compared to the likes of Alton Towers offers more than 28 different rides and attractions for the whole family to enjoy including the Ghostly Galleon and Animal Cuddle Corner that opened this year.
2. Bennett’s Water Gardens – Looking for somewhere to spend some time relaxing and getting away from it all then take time to visit this attraction. Along with its replica of the Monet Japanese Bridge you will find here an 8 acre water garden in which the largest collection of national and international water lilies grow. Plus why not just spend time wandering around the plant house and heritage museum as well. As for the kids if they are getting a little fed up then let them have fun wandering around the trails specially designed for them to wander along and explore.
3. Go Ape High Wire Adventure – This is the ideal place to visit for those who want a little excitement during their holiday. When you visit this attraction along with the Tarzan swing and the zip wire there are plenty of tunnels, rope ladders and rope bridges for one to attempt.
4. Tank Museum – This is a place that the boys will really like visiting and they can spend time wandering around this vast collection housed in a revamped museum. Not only will they see more modern Challenger 2 tanks here but also the first one ever designed and built. Also here they can a truly feeling of what life was like for soldiers by taking a walk through the Trench Experience.
