The summer months on Sardinia are especially busy and the month of August is the one month when you may find getting the right sort of villa for your holiday will be difficult. This is because this is the month when many Italians especially those who reside in Rome will take their annual summer holiday and come and spend time on the island in order to relax and unwind.
But although August is the busiest month and difficult for getting a villa to rent during the rest of the summer (June, July and September) rentals are a little easier. Places like Costa Smeralda, Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo are ones where villa rental costs are extremely high. This is because they are places where the rich and famous like to spend time relaxing and enjoying the warm summer sun of the region.
One place that you may well want to consider renting a villa in is the Sardinian capital, Cagliari. Not only does it have a large number of different villas to choose from but it will also suit any kind of holiday budget as well. Plus the other benefit of renting a villa here is that you are centrally located and so able to explore and visit other parts of the island easily. Plus you may find a location that you like for your next holiday and a quick search online you may discover that there are villas to rent there as well.
Whereas if you are someone who has far less money to spend on the vacation accommodation then why not looking at renting a villa in the Port of Alghero. This is located on the northwest coast of Sardinia and now one of its most important tourist areas.
Although it does not boast the same kind of nightlife as you would find in Costa Smeralda it does offer some of the most beautiful beaches to be found in this part of Italy. Also, you have the chance to wander around the streets of the old part of the village that are enclosed behind stout walls with their Spanish feel.
When it comes to looking for the best holiday villas in Sardinia to rent the ideal place to start your search is by going online. There are lots of different companies who now deal in villa rentals and there are even some private villa owners who also advertise on the internet as well. Yet before you actually book the villa carry out some research and compare the various ones you are considering.
