Booking Holiday Villas with Pools - Some Tips
Date: 28 April 2008
When people are choosing to rent a villa rather than staying in a hotel, they are looking for ones which also come with their own swimming pools. Certainly, holiday villas with pools are proving to be increasingly popular but very few people actually check just what kind of pool it is before they make their booking.

Therefore, before you actually book any villa where a swimming pool is available you need to be asking a number of important questions. This will ensure that you are not met with any unpleasant surprises on your arrival at the accommodation and which will ensure that you have an enjoyable holiday.

Certainly one of the first things you need to discover is whether the pool with the villa is solely for that villa's use or is a communal one that is shared with others. Certainly on many of the holiday resorts you will find that the pools available here are communal. Plus these pools will have lifeguard cover arranged so you do not actually need to spend every minute of the day watching over your child (but you will).

Secondly, you need to find out if the pool has a shallow end where a toddler can easily stand, or do they in fact offer a separate pool for young children. If there is only one pool at the villa then you need to find out if the owners provide safety equipment such as buoyancy aids for younger children.

Another question you need to ask and which sometimes gets left out of the villa details is the size of the pool. For those of you who want a pool that allows plenty of room to swim and play games in then look for one that is around 8 metres by 4 metres.

Also, if you are holidaying with family and there are small children with you then you need to find out what security measures are provided round the pool. Ideally look for one that has fencing and also a gate, which will prevent any small child from easily gaining access to the area.

Finally, another thing you need to find out when you are booking any villa that has a pool (private or communal) is what furniture is available. Certainly, most well maintained villas will offer a variety of different poolside furniture that you can use during your stay such as sun beds, shades, tables and chairs.

So when it comes to renting any holiday villas with pools during your next vacation it is important that you keep the above in mind. This way you can be assured that not only will you have an enjoyable holiday but a safe one as well, especially if you are taking young children with you.
