Holidays in Ireland
Date: 1 April 2009
Ireland is situated close to Great Britain and to get to it you can either fly to anyone of its airports including those in Dublin, Cork, Kerry and Waterford. Plus a short ferry journey across the Irish sea can get you there as well.

It is also divided into two parts the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. The latter of which is part of the United Kingdom. Overall by the end of 2007 the population for the whole of Ireland was just over 6 million and of these around 4.4 million resided in the Republic of Ireland.

When you visited this island which is often referred to as the Emerald Isle there is some truly breathtaking scenery one can enjoy. Plus one can choose to relax and enjoy village life or else for more excitement visit one of the bigger cities. In this article we take a look at three places which are the most popular with visitors to this part of the world.

Dublin of course is the most popular by far and is the capital of the Republic of Ireland. Along with some of the latest designer boutiques it has a wealth of good quality restaurants and bars that visitors to this city can enjoy.

However, there is plenty more for one to do and see when visiting Dublin apart from the bars there are some good quality museums and of course no visit is complete without spending time at the Guinness Brewery. If you have never tried Guinness before then the best place to try it in is Dublin as it has a much smoother taste to it than anywhere else.

Along with the church tower of Shandon to visit there is the City Hall which was rebuilt in the 1930’s following it being destroyed by the Black and Tans in 1920. There are also two cathedrals to visit during your stay namely St Mary’s Cathedral often referred to as the North Cathedral and St Finbarre’s Church. Plus you have the Cork Opera House and for time to relax away from the crowds you can spend time in Fitzgerald’s Park. Why not rent a holiday home in Ireland and experience Ireland for yourself.

The other city that many visitors like to take time out in is Waterford. Which is most well known for the crystal that is produced here. But there is plenty of wonderful sights along with the Crystal factory for visitors to enjoy. Not far from Waterford you have places like Dunmore East and Woods Town where you have wonderful beaches that you can sit and relax on and enjoy the sun when it comes out.
