Renting one of the many Irish holiday homes that are now available will provide you with the chance to explore this beautiful island at your own pace. However, if you have never actually rented such accommodation before when on vacation below we offer some tips to ensure that you have a great time.
Tip 1 – Most of the homes available to rent for holidays are privately owned and so the standard from one to the next can differ greatly. If you want to ensure that you have the best accommodation possible, arrange the booking through an agency who only insist on the highest standards possible.
Tip 2 – It is important to note that you will need to arrange your vacation around the dates that hire of such properties run from. In most cases, you will find that hire of these homes runs from Saturday to Saturday and do not expect to actually gain access to the property until mid or late afternoon. This is because the owners or the agents will need time to prepare the cottage for your visit.
Tip 3 – When it comes to the price at which these properties are rented out at it does not tell you just what state the property is in. In many cases, rental prices will relate to where the property is located and at what time of year you are renting it at. You may find that you are going to get a much better quality of accommodation if you choose to select a holiday home in one of the less desired locations.
Tip 4 – If you are after a certain holiday home and would like to be assured of getting the dates you want it is advisable that you book well in advance. As well as getting exactly what you want you may find that you also get a discount on the price you pay for renting it. You may well find that in order to book your accommodation well in advance that the owner or agent will require a small deposit from you to ensure that the week or weeks you want do not get booked by others.
Tip 5 – Before you actually arrange a booking, you should be aware of what is actually included in the rental price. As you will soon find that, what is included will vary from one agent to the next. However, in most cases your heating, electricity and bed linen and other facilities within the home are included in the price. However, if you are looking to bring a pet with you then you may be required to pay an additional fee.
Tip 6 – If you want to save money on your holiday home in Ireland then it is a good idea to go at the times of year when there are likely to be less visitors. Also, you may find that even during the height of the summer season by selecting a property in a less popular part could also save you money as well.
Above we have offered you a few tips that should help you to get not only the right Irish holiday homes for your next vacation. But you may also find yourself actually saving yourself some money as well. However, you need to be wary and carry out as much research before you actually make that booking.
