Zee am See, Kaprun. Not your average Austrian ski resort.

Close to the town of Salzburg, Austria is the ski resort of Zee am See, Kaprun. Although it has long been a popular destination in the winter months, it is also now becoming a common destination with tourists in the summer. The growing appeal of the resort could be down to the number of mountain activities in the surrounding area and the summer pass times such as walking, trekking, horse riding and mountain biking that you can indulge in.
This particular resort is situated in the large town of Pinzgau in Austria and is found located in the eastern part of the Alps. It nestles between the, snow covered, Schmittenhohe Glacier and the Zeller See Lake. With such an ideal location, no matter what the time of year, reaching this particular resort is easy. Whether you travel by car, rail or decide to fly directly to Salzburg, you can be ready to hit the slopes within hours of arriving in Austria.
Of course the main attraction of this resort is the skiing, but there is plenty more on offer throughout the day and into the evenings if you don’t want to hit the slopes. There are a wide selection of bars and clubs in the resort, as well as plenty of restaurants offering a wide selection of cuisines including some traditional Austrian meals.
