One particular resort that will provide you with some great skiing highlights during your time in this part of Scotland is Glenshee Ski Centre. It is located on the main road between Blairgowrie and Aberdeen called the A93 and is to be found located a place known as Cairwell Pass.
This resort is not like those you find in mainland Europe as it only has 40km (25 miles) of marked pistes on which one can ski. However there are 36 different ski runs to enjoy and these can easily be reached using one of the 21 lifts that are in operation at this resort. Also you will find that these skin runs are not situated in one place but actually spread over three valleys.
Although compared to other resorts in Europe this is in fact the largest of them all to be found in this part of Scotland. Plus they also now provide snowboarding equipment as well.
All of this equipment is well maintained and any equipment that has become damaged or is considered old will immediately be replaced. So ensuring that the safety of the person using the equipment is maintained at all times. Plus not only is the equipment safe to use, but the prices to hire it are extremely affordable.
However these stores would recommend that you hire your equipment well in advance of the days when you want to go skiing or snowboarding. In some cases you may find that booking the equipment 48 hours before will suffice. Certainly if you are someone who has never skied before then listen carefully to the advice provided by the staff who work in these stores when arranging rental of equipment. They will ensure that again the equipment they supply is the right size for you to ensure that you don’t have any problems on the ski slopes of this resort in Perthshire, Scotland.
