Turkey has much to offer those who chose to holiday here as it is located between two continents it offers has a very varied culture which is a mix of both eastern and western traditions. It is for this reason that this country really can offer something that is totally unique to its visitors.
The weather depending on the time of year you choose to visit varies quite a bit. During the summer it is hot and dry, whilst in the winter it is much milder and also much wetter. Plus if you travel further inland you will find that there can be major differences in the weather as well.
So what can you do when visiting Turkey? As you will soon discover when you search online for activities to do in this country there are plenty of different water sports to enjoy. But also there are plenty of wonderful activities such as skiing, cycling and mountaineering and places to visit and holiday in Turkey.
However, before you decide what you want to do you need to decide which part of Turkey you want to visit? You have a choice of 8 different areas of the country to visit or you could spend some time visiting them all. In each area there are things for one to do and see.
The areas that make up the country of Turkey are the Aegean, Marmara, Mediterranean, South Eastern Turkey, Eastern Anatolia, Central Anatolia, South Aegean and the Black Sea. Certainly it is areas such as the Aegean and the Black Sea which most tourists tend to gravitate towards.
For those that visit the region that makes up the Black Sea here you will find some wonderful coast line with superb beaches which you can spend time relaxing on and soaking up the sun. Because there are so many miles of wonderful beaches to enjoy finding a spot that isn’t crowded won’t be that difficult.
However, you don’t need to spend time just relaxing on the beach. Travel inland and there is plenty of wonderful scenery and wildlife to enjoy. To travel around these areas you can either do it independently by hiring a mountain bike or let someone else do it and go of a jeep safari. Turkey is a beautiful place to vist and stay renting a holiday home in Turkey could not be easier.
Of course no visit to Turkey will be complete without spending some time visiting Istanbul, which still retains much of its history. Along with the wonderful grand mosques there are plenty of palaces, churches and museums for you to explore during a visit to this very exotic and vibrant city. Certainly watching the sunset over the Bosphorus explains why this has been voted one of the most glorious and magical cities in the world.
